Excellent lettuce. We are very fussy about the lettuce we grow. Every year we trial new varieties of lettuce, and there are very few that we continue to grow. But Edox is one that we loved. It was a delicious and beautiful butterhead. One of my favorites. I highly recommend it.
Cover seed lightly, about 1/8", and firm soil gently. Thin iceberg and romaine lettuce to one plant every 10-12", other types 8-10" for full-size heads or 6" for mini heads. Dry soil must be watered to ensure coolness and moisture, and for uniform germination. SALAD MIX/BABY LEAF: Sow in a 2-4" wide band, about 60 seeds/ft.

Lettuce is a heavy feeder and prefers a rich, well cultivated soil with good drainage. Some success can be expected even in poor soils using the loose-leaf types. Add plenty of compost or well-rotted manure prior to planting.
